Flock [web browser] – Something fresh and timely
Left Flock for the past one year and now it is all grown up! Have been toying with it for the past 1 hour and colour me impressed all over again. I have been hitting Facebook hard for the past 2 months and Flock just makes its so much easier with its Sidebar which constantly updates me on the minutiae of my friends.
Flock also plugs right into Twitter and all my newsfeeds. It comes with a blog editor that instantly posts into my WordPress. I am still discovering new features in it and each time I find something new, I wonder if there is nothing that Flock cannot do. Give it a spin folks. You will be pleasantly surprised!
Note – I am not getting paid for this.
A tweet too far

How to turn your iMac into an oversized wifi router

I have not tried it myself but found it interesting. Someone reading this might find it useful.
Firefox 3.1 beta 1 with all add-ons intact
If like me your are itching to try out the spanking new Firefox 3.1 beta 1 release with its purported Chrome-busting speed, go right ahead and download it. Worried about it breaking your precious add-ons? Lick the problem with Nightly Tester Tools. Meant for developers and coders, this nifty little extension will over ride any add-on incompatibilities with a single click of a button.
Google Chrome – new kid on the browser block
I was so excited by the news of the Google browser that I specifically woke up early to download and install it this morning. So far I have not been disappointed although not being able to use it on
my iMac sucks.
The widescreen approach is really refreshing even though I am used to my 20″ iMac. I am sure it will look gorgeous on it, provided the developers get around to patching the apple version together. Cannot wait for the day!
It actually made me fire up my WinXP desktop and let me just say that this has not happened for the longest time. All my regular and not so regular websites have worked so far but ironically gmail took ages to load. I guess thats Murphy’s Law at work. All in all an intersting addition to the browser wars. I am waiting to be blown away in the next few days as I explore the hell out of it.
